COMPOSER, PRODUCER, WRITER & ENGINEER
ABOUT
With a multi-dimensional career as a composer, producer, songwriter, and engineer, Tayler Denae is quickly establishing herself as a rising female producer and writer with a unique electronic-pop sound. From placements in major films on Paramount and Netflix to commercial syncs with Gatorade, CBS, and Entertainment Tonight, her distinct sonic fingerprint is finding a home across both mainstream and underground platforms.
Having worked alongside notable artists including MitiS, Nurko, Christian French, and Elohim — and boasting over 11 million Spotify streams — Denae’s production and writing style bridges genres and generations. Rooted primarily in pop and electronic music, she draws on a broad musical background — from childhood influences like Missy Elliott and Fergie to her deep admiration for the rise of Skrillex and the EDM movement during her college years leading her to eventually graduate in Recording Engineering and Music Production. Today, her sound continues to evolve, incorporating the haunting textures of dark pop artists like Billie Eilish and Ashnikko, while always maintaining an authentic emotional core.
Her solo work spans multiple artist projects: DENAE, an acoustic-infused indie-electronic journey crafted to “nurture the sad girl in us all,” and GHYST, a visceral dark-pop persona blending industrial edge, distorted electronics, and scream like vocals — what she calls “a safe place to put my rage... rage about the system, dysfunction, addiction, and mental health.” On the other end of the spectrum, she recently launched Tay & Friends, a children’s music series designed to help kids understand and regulate their emotions through music and storytelling.
From her early breakthrough as a Top 75 finalist on American Idol to becoming a rising production force in both artist development and sync licensing, Denae continues to defy expectations. With support from DSP editorial playlists and notable music blogs, her growing catalog positions her not only as a distinct artist but as a sharp, emotionally intelligent voice in modern songwriting and production.
