Singer/Songwriter Denae’s music is a dark yet honest look into the realities of mental health and life. Denae bends the genre line with hard-hitting electronic beats stunningly accompanied by fast-paced lyrical pop/rap vocals. While this is a new chapter, Tayler Denae has had considerable success in her other projects, reaching over 5 Million Spotify streams cumulatively with her projects Gioto and Shui & Denae.
After releasing “My Dark Place EP” at the end of May 2021, it picked up momentum on top music blogs such as Dancing Astronaut, and Pop Dose Magazine gaining over 200k streams in total. She says “i grew up writing everything and anything, it was my way of escaping my crazy childhood… it’s funny though cause my music isn’t really an escape anymore, it just feels like a way to make sense of everything”.
It’s no coincidence that Denae’s songs focus on the ups & downs of life, she adds “it’s all life is, a series of ups (di) and downs(né)”
